One of the most compelling stories in history is the Exodus. An entire nation, millions of people, went from enslaved and oppressed to freedom. But many of them wanted to go back into the comfort in Egypt. Egypt was safer. Egypt was familiar. What happens when we recognize our own Egypt? What can we do about it and how can we start fresh with a whole new chapter? This weekend we’ll unpack what that can look like for each of us and for our church.

Religion, Rebellion, and Why Neither Work

Raw•Sep 13

You can run from God by breaking all the rules. You can also run from God by keeping all of them. In Luke 15, Jesus tells the story of two lost sons—one lost in rebellion, the other lost in religion. Both think they know how to relate to the Father. Both get it wrong. This week, Kyle Ranson unpacks why neither rebellion nor religion can connect us to God—but why no matter which direction you wander, God still moves toward you in love. The Four Roles You Were Made to Master

Raw•Sep 20

What are you made for? It's easy to go through life, wondering if we're actually doing what we're supposed to do. We show up to work, watch some shows, go to bed, wake up, and do it again. Are we...doing it? This week, Brian Tome unpacks the four roles King David filled in one the most consequential lives ever lived—Warrior. King. Father. Friend. Even if you don’t have a Y chromosome, there’s something here for you about stepping into who God made you to be—and living a life that has eternal impact. Dust It Off and Do It Again | Rebuilding Community After Being Hurt

Raw•Sep 27

You already know friendship matters. The harder question is: what happens when you tried it—and got hurt? People got busy. The group fell apart. You felt betrayed. You got ghosted. After enough disappointment, it feels a whole lot safer to keep people at an arm's length. This week, Chuck Mingo isn’t talking about how to start building community. He’s talking about how to start again. Because even after the hurt, the disappointment, and the mess of doing life with other people, the Bible shows us friendship is still worth the risk. Dust yourself off. It’s worth trying again. Recorded live at Crossroads Church in Cincinnati, Ohio.
