Crossroads Young Adults ministry exists to reach and connect 18-29(ish) year olds to the hope of Jesus and to a Crossroads site. Young Adults focuses on immersive citywide gatherings for young adults to find community and explore faith, as well as establishing a YA presence in every city and every site where Crossroads is located.
Collective Night is a city-wide immersive monthly experience for young adults to find community and explore faith. It launched in December at Crossroads Uptown with around 450 young adults in attendance. Collective Night will continue to run and gain momentum in the Spring of 2026.
While 1824 had previously focused largely on college students in Cincinnati, the bigger vision of Crossroads Young Adults exists to reach 18-29 year olds in a multi-city movement that will help lead a spiritual awakening. The brand and name change is a strategic move to welcome and connect with 18-29 year olds no matter what stage of life they may be in.
In early 2025, we hired a director for the Young Adults ministry (formerly 1824), and we can’t wait to see how he’ll help grow the youth programs at Crossroads.
We recently completed a 2025/2026 strategic plan that details the path ahead.
You don’t need a postgraduate degree to realize it’s harder for young adults to express their faith today than ever before—that is, if they even get to the point of saying “yes” to Jesus. One in two 18-24 year olds today didn’t grow up in the church and are in desperate need of the hope and freedom of Jesus. It’s a dangerous cultural shift that’s leaving this demographic even more confused, anxious, and hopeless. We know, however, that Jesus has something better for them, and we want them to hear it in a language they can understand.
God has already established a vibrant Young Adults community at Crossroads Uptown near the University of Cincinnati’s campus. 250+ young adults are currently meeting weekly to grow in life-changing discipleship, while even more meet monthly for social experiences and worship. They are passionate about sharing Jesus with their friends and families—they just need a little help from us.
In addition to reaching thousands more 18-24 year olds through Crossroads Uptown, we intend to establish a Young Adults presence in every city where there is a Crossroads site—providing belonging, teaching, and care designed for this unique age group. We also know that 18-24 year olds are adventure seekers and music lovers who are primed to experience Jesus in a camp setting, and we're working on giving them just that.
Finally, we're exploring ways to better provide the #1 requested form of help for these young adults: mental health support. The future of the Church and our church depends on it.
