Nicaragua & Guatemala

Nicaragua & Guatemala

God has called us to help those in need in Latin America. We currently sponsor thousands of children each year, but we intend to go further. We’re building a Youth Center in Nicaragua and launching a powerful digital curriculum in Guatemala that can help increase teenagers’ likelihood of graduating by over 30%.

Teen Transportation Acquired

Because of your support, we were able to help our partner, Amigos for Christ, purchase a bus that is already changing the daily reality for teenagers across rural Nicaragua. What might look like a simple vehicle is, in practice, a lifeline.

This bus is now transporting teens from distant villages to education opportunities, Bible studies, vocational classes, and work experiences as part of Amigos’ new teen outreach program. Many of these young people are navigating life without parents at home. Migration has left a gap that no teenager should have to fill alone. This program is designed to run toward those teens, not wait for them to find their way.

With reliable transportation, students who were previously isolated can now show up consistently, stay connected to a healthy community, continue their education, and begin pathways toward stable jobs and long-term hope. Access and proximity change everything. Attendance becomes possible and opportunity becomes real.

First-Ever Nonprofit Work Begins in Remote Guatemala Communities

We’ve officially launched into rural Guatemala, and the impact is already taking root. Crossroads is now sponsoring two schools in remote Guatemala villages; places so isolated that our partner, Cooperative for Education, is the first nonprofit to ever step foot there. These communities are often forgotten because of their geography, but together we’re bringing a proven education curriculum that’s changing the trajectory for students who’ve never had access to this kind of opportunity.

And it doesn’t stop at the classroom. Our GO Guatemala trips have already started traveling to these schools, rolling up sleeves on projects that support both students and teachers. In 2026, more GO Guatemala teams will continue that work, helping ensure these schools don’t just survive, but thrive. What’s happening in these villages is nothing short of historic as education and hope are arriving hand in hand, and the story is just beginning.

We Want to Provide Care for Nicaragua/Guatemala

Millions of individuals in Latin America are forced to flee their homes each year due to increasing crime and poverty rates. They head to the United States in search of a dream that, for many, may not be attainable. We believe God has called us to help those in need in Latin America by investing in tangible change back in their home countries—helping to ensure home is a place they are never forced to leave in the first place. Our community already sponsors thousands of children in Nicaragua and Guatemala, but we intend to go further. We will work with our existing partners to build a CityLink-inspired Youth Center in Nicaragua, and to launch a powerful digital curriculum in Guatemala that can help increase teenagers’ likelihood of graduating by over 30%. These relationships and projects can help bring real change for our southern neighbors.

LATIN AMERICA REACHOUT STATS
