Construction on two safe homes underway
Despite the perils of monsoon season and the difficulties of building in Nepal, Safe Homes 1 and 2 are now under construction! The plinth and first floor structures are underway, and we’ve seen no major changes to our projected timeline. The team has also made significant progress on the permanent boundary and security walls of the AOGE campus, including engineered retaining systems.
This is more than construction progress: it’s a promise taking shape in real time. For the teams who have worked tirelessly through the years to make this campus a reality, and for all our supporters of the 10X movement at home – this is God’s work in action.
There are many more exciting projects on the horizon! Permits have now been received for all major structures in Phase 1, and we're hoping to break ground on the remaining five safe homes as soon as funding becomes available. At the same time, the school buildings are in the final engineering phase and are on track for permit submission. Every milestone we've reached has created momentum for the next one, and your generosity through 10X continues to help move this vision forward.
None of this would be possible without the incredible partnership of AOGE, Ally Global Foundation, local leaders and contractors in Nepal, and every person who has faithfully invested their time, expertise, prayers, and generosity along the way. Together, we're not just constructing buildings. We're creating a place where children and teens can experience safety, healing, and the opportunity to build a different future. While there's still work ahead, we're filled with anticipation for what's next—and we're grateful to be building it together.
